Bollywood actress Preity Zinta's decision to serve as brand ambassador for GoAir may have raised some eyebrows, but the star shrugs off any "loose talk" that it has anything to do with boyfriend Ness Wadia. She replies, unfazed as ever: "First of all the airline is run by Ness' brother Jay. They asked me to be their brand ambassador. Very honestly, I did it because I truly think it's a fantastic airline with really low fares. It's an amazingly quality-conscious product and just the product I'd like to endorse.'
Actor Rahul Khanna to save Big E
Actor Rahul Khanna has joined the 'save the elephant' campaign and stars in the new anti-zoo ad made by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). Shot by photographer Colston Julian, the ad is titled 'Actor Wants Fans to Know That Elephants Don't Belong in Zoos and Cities' and Rahul is shown shackled in chains, with bruises painted on his body. 'Zoos cannot provide for the complex needs of the animals who they hold captive,' said Rahul in a press statement.
SRK's Chak De India film:
Shah Rukh Khan's much-awaited 'Chak De India', in which he plays an ageing hockey player, will be premiered August 9 at Somerset House in London. The entire star cast, including the superstar himself, will attend the world premiere of the movie.

Shilpa shetty receives Silver Star award for humanitarian work
LONDON: Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty has received the Silver Star Award for her outstanding contribution to international humanitarian causes, particularly for spreading awareness of AIDS/HIV among people.
Labour Leader of House of Commons Jack Straw presented the award to the 31-year old actor at Durbar Court in Britain's Foreign and Commonwealth Office on Friday night, as part of the celebrations to mark the 20th anniversary of the election of Keith Vaz, the NRI leader, Labour MP and former minister for FCO.
In her brief acceptance speech, Shetty, the winner of last Celebrity Big Brother show, said Vaz had played an important role when she was racially abused by some of the contestants. "He screamed the loudest," she acknowledged.

Heroes-TV has reported that the actress will appear in 8 episodes of the up coming series of the NBC show about 'superhuman' beings. The science fiction drama television series, created by Tim Kring, premiered on NBC on September 25, 2006 and tells the story of several people who "thought they were like everyone else... until they woke with incredible abilities" such as telepathy, time travel and flight.
It's been said that Ash will play the role of Dr. Mohinder Suresh's elder sister Shanti Suresh, and will have a super-power of her own, something which has not yet been disclosed.
Shilpa Shetty gets Global Impact award - June 11 2007
Shilpa Shetty has spoken out about the need to fight racism after accepting a special award for Global Impact at the Bollywood Oscars.
The actress, who was at the centre of the Celebrity Big Brother race row in January, said she was overwhelmed by the award which recognised "no other role but the role I play in my life".
Commenting on her experiences over the past six months, she said: "I'm glad that whatever has come out of it has been very positive and I'm happy when I see the joy on Asian faces, I see the gumption to fight back for their dignity if people are ever trying to trample over them."
Shilpa was presented with the award by the International Indian Film Academy at the lavish ceremony on Saturday.
She added: "An actor always gets an award for the different characters we portray. I think this is the first time an actor's got an award for the person she is so it cannot be a better award than this.
"I think the biggest award of all is when I see the love and appreciation on people's faces."
She also revealed that she's very excited about her next venture, a musical called Bollywood To Broadway.
"It's going to be an international venture and then if everything goes right I will be doing a Hollywood film," she said.
