FCI technical assistant arrested in bribery case

Malerkotla (Punjab) [India], Mar. 20 : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday arrested technical assistant of Food Corporation of India (FCI), Pankaj Kumar for taking a bribe of Rs.

1 lakh. The arrest was made on grounds of obtaining undue official favour by the complainant. The CBI has registered the case under Section 120B (Criminal Conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and provisions of the Prevention of Corruption (PC) Act 1988.

The agency has started the investigation in the case..
