Introduction
India has various festivals and the rationale behind each
one of them is an assort-ment of legends. From being the land
of snake charmers, to the boom in technology, our country has
a past that has been extremely eventful;we have a culture that
appeals to the world. Our civilization has been value-based. We
are perhaps making rapid strides in progress- nevertheless, our
culture remains in us tangible and everlasting. Our traditions
are a unique blend of religion languages and beliefs. The people
in India belong to diverse backgrounds. There is great unity in
this diversity and the purpose of celebration in our festivals
is peace. Ours is the oldest culture in the world.
