Fifth edition of Polyurethane Exhibition concludes today

New Delhi [India], Mar. 20 : The fifth edition of India's largest polyurethane exhibition and conference, PU-tech 2017, organised by Indian Polyurethane organisation successfully concluded today at India Expo Centre.

The main objective was to discuss solutions for a comprehensive growth in technology and markets. It was attended by more than 5,000 delegates, exhibitors and visitors, who brought together raw material producers, equipment suppliers, end-users and the industry at large.

More than 200 exhibitors exhibited their skills and connected visitors from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Male, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Bangladesh, Middle East, Africa and other countries.

The conference brought the innovation and sustainability focus of the industry into the forefront that was inaugurated by Dr Andrea Maier-Richter of Covestro.

12 speakers from the leading research-oriented companies all over the world gave insights into the depth of activity to push performance according to market needs.

The Polyurethane Industry is one of the rapidly growing industries in India which has registered double digit growth during the past five years and is expected to double every four years in the coming decade.

Stating his views on the industry scenario of Polyurethane, Mukesh Bhuta, chairman PU-TECH said, "India today processes 565000mtpa of polyurethanes (as against China's figure of 6435000mtpa) and this is expected to cross the 1 million mtpa mark in the next three to four years.".
