London, May 20 : Blackburn Rover's 'unsackable' manager Steve Kean is set to lose his job.
The Rover Indian owners, chicken conglomerate Venky's, have decided to remove Kean as manager, although he will stay on as the club in a different role and on the same salary.
According to The Daily Mail, one of Kean's key allies at the club, press officer Paul Agnew, could be promoted to the board of directors with the new title of director of communications.
Kean recommended Agnew;s promotion during showdown talks in Pune with the club's co-owners, Anuradha Desai and her brothers, Balaji and Venky.
Both Venky and Balaji Rao have told friends and associates that Kean will not continue as Rovers' manager.
