Top cop saw 'alien' at Manchester United game
Posted online: Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 1:44:06 PM

London, July 11 : Secret files revealing a series of bizarre UFO sightings have been released by the Government.

They consist of more than 6,700 pages detailing apparent close encounters in the last 30 years, the Sun reported.

One report involves a cop at Man United's FA Cup quarter final against Chelsea in 1999 at Stamford Bridge.

The officer claimed to have seen something "unlike anything I've seen before".

He described a "square to almond shape yellow object, with four lights, floating silently above his horse".

Another file tells of a West Wales hotelier who saw a UFO landed in a field. Two silver-suited "faceless humanoids" emerged and started taking measurements.

A sighting in Spalding, Lincs, seemingly prompted a visit from the "men in black" - three males who broke in to quiz the UFO spotter. The person had no recollection of the event afterwards but a pal, who was hiding in the downstairs loo, told officials.

The files were kept by the Ministry of Defence's former UFO Desk Officer.

The DO writes that the idea of a UFO desk "tends to suggest there are top secret teams scurrying around the country in a real-life version of the X-Files. This is total fiction".
