The story is about Sarath who is a married to Andrea , but starts an affair with Jyothika. He is later blackmailed by Milind Soman who finds out about his affair. The rest of the story is about how Sarath tries to make up for his mistakes.
Jyothika plays a negative role as Milind Soman's girlfriend, trying to con Sarath into giving away the money that he had saved for his son's operation. This movie is an Indian adaptation of the novel Derailed.
Pachaikili Muthucharam is a cool thriller without clichιd slick chases and special effects. The effects lie in the performance of the actors and the momentum of the story.
