Washington D.C. [USA], Sep 11 : Miss North Dakota Cara Mund becomes the first from her state to take the Miss America crown.
The 23-year-old beat out 50 other women in five categories to claim the title. The 2017 Miss America, Savvy Shields, passed on the tiara to Mund during the final night of competition in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
