Apollo Hospitals : Organ Donation - Families of 40 brain death persons gave consent for donation, out of which  organs from 30 persons could be used. Most of the recipients of cadaveric kidney transplants are doing well. 5 recipients died due to graft failure, infection, poor compliance and immunosuppression. 1 heart transplant recipient has now survived for 2 1/2 years. The 3 liver transplant recipients died during the post operative period.

Madras Medical Mission: Patient survival at 1 year for heart  transplant- 67%.  The very first patient who had a transplant in September 1995 is, to date, doing well.

Sri Ramachandra Medical College:
Received three kidneys : from Apollo(2) & FORTE(1)
Gave away four kidneys: General Hospital(1), Sundaram Medical Foundation (1).
