Velankanni is at a distance of 90 kms from
Chennai. It is the site of the famous Roman Catholic Church of Our
Lady of Good Health. People of all religions flock to this Church. A
major festival is held here at the start of September. Accessible from Tiruchy, Chennai and Thanjavur by
rail, Velankanni is also
connected by road.
