Death toll rises to over 50 in Kabul twin blasts

Kabul [Afghanistan], Jan. 11 : The death toll has climbed to 51 in the the twin suicide bombings targeting parliament offices in Kabul, officials said on Wednesday.

Tolo News quoted officials, as saying that about 150 people, including children and women were injured in the attacks.

Most of the people killed and wounded in the blasts were civilians. Meanwhile, parliament's administrative board has confirmed the death of thirty six national assembly employees.

A female member of parliament from Heart, Rahima Jami was among those wounded in the attack. Officials said one explosion occurred after a suicide bomber detonated his explosives at the entrance to the offices and the second one happened when a car bomb was denoted at the same place.
