Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], Dec. 6 : Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Tuesday wrote to Chief Justice of India (CJI), Tirath Singh Thakur and the Chief Justice of Delhi High Court G.

Rohini, seeking the judge, currently hearing the disproportionate assets case against him, to be changed.

The Central Bureau of Investigation had informed Delhi High Court about its completion of the investigation in the case and that it wanted to file a charge sheet.

However, the CBI could not file a charge sheet without the court's permission, as mentioned in an earlier order by the Himachal Pradesh High Court.

The Supreme Court later transferred the case to the Delhi HC. Earlier, the court had extended the custody of the LIC agent, Ashok Chauhan, who is believed to have assisted Virbhadra Singh by mentioning his name and his family members in policy worth Rs 5 crore.

However, Virbhadra Singh has maintained that the raids conducted at his residence and other premises by the CBI, were done with malafide intentions and that he was made a target of some political vendetta.
