New Delhi [India], Nov 14 : PAN India network of startup hubs iB Hubs announced signing of an MoU with National Research Development Corporation (NRDC).
Under the agreement iB Hubs will be taking product innovations at NRDC and finding a market, generating business and employment.
Amitabh Kant, CEO of NITI Aayog was the Chief Guest at the function. The event was attended by other dignitaries from the government like Jayesh Ranjan IT secretary Telangana State, PN Rao Joint Secretary Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology GOI, Abdul Ghani UN Consultant and Founder of Abdul Kalam Foundation , Dr.
Ganapathy Apollo Tele Health Services amongst others. Delivering the keynote address Amitabh Kant said, "iB Hubs is one of the most unique and greatest thing that can happen in India.
I really think iB Hubs is going to be one of the most remarkable success stories in our country." "India needs to innovate to solve its own problems and thereby create solutions for not only itself but also for the rest of Asia and Africa,: he added.
S Vijay Kumar, Chief Promoter of iB Hubs and Chairman iB Group said, " I would like to see all the youngsters of the country involved in one or the other productive and constructive activities and thereby empower the nation." The operations in five cities - New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Kolkata will kick-start, boosting entrepreneurship and innovation across India, with a special focus on Tier II and Tier III towns/cities.
iB Hubs envisions 500 centers across India by Dec, 2019. Additionally, it's set to launch five global centers, each in US, UK, UAE, Singapore and Australia, to provide a global platform to promising Indian entrepreneurs.
With a team of 150+ full-time professionals from premier institutions, iB Hubs aims at providing assistance in form of working space, team support, technical support, business development, market development, legal consultation etc.
"iB Hubs is building a collaborative platform where different stakeholders of the ecosystem - governments, industry, academia, research organisations etc - work together with synergy to nurture innovation and entrepreneurship throughout India," said CEO of iB Hubs, Radha Alekhya.
Earlier this week, iB Hubs entered into an MoU with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to open up 60 centers across UP, with State Center Hub at Lucknow.
iB Hubs also has associations with noteworthy organizations like IIM Calcutta - Innovation Park, IIT Kharagpur, NALSAR University, NITK Surathkal, NIT Agartala, Agrinnovate, NAARM, ICRISAT, CCMB, IISc - CeNSE, GUSEC, Vel Tech University, LJ Group of Institutes, IIIT Basara etc.
