India, Morocco ink MoU for cooperation in telemedicine

New Delhi, Dec 14 : India and Morocco on Thursday inked an MoU to enhance cooperation in telemedicine, drug regulation and pharmaceutical quality control, an official statement said.

The two also agreed to co-operate in the field of non-communicable diseases, including child cardiovascular diseases and cancer as per the MoU, signed by Health minister J.P.

Nadda and his visiting Moroccan counterpart Abdelkader Amara.

Communicable diseases, maternal, child and neonatal health, hospital twinning for exchange of good practices and training in administration and management of health services and hospitals are the other areas, said a Health Ministry statement.

"Another MoU was signed between Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry and Marrakech Mohamed VI University Hospital to collaborate in the field of telemedicine, technical support in controlling epidemics and support in rendering second opinion on various complicated cases," it said.
