Keeping up with their trend to introduce fresh fashion talents, Indian Federation for Fashion Development (IFFD) has announced the latest group of young designers.
Ten fashioners in the 'new-gen designer' frame and eight in the 'budding designer' category are all set to rule the ramp in the winter-festive edition of the fashion gala.
Selected from more than 300 submissions, these couturiers were chosen on the basis of some key criteria, which included quality, innovation, marketability and ability to legitimately take their businesses to the next level.
The new-gen designers for this season of Asia's youngest fashion trade event are Payal Kothari and Zinal Shah; Meghaa Mahendru; Disha Doshi Gandhi; Shilpa Chaurasia; Rachat by Shruti and Rohan; Manika Sureka; Varun and Vidushi; Stuti Shah; Sana Khan; Preethi Fazel.
"The number of entries for new-gen categories is increasing with each season and moreover we are quite glad to see that the design sensibility of new designers is not only innovative but mature than already existing designers" Kiran Kheva, Fashion Director, IFFD, told ANI.
Mithi Kalra, Kanchankuntala Das, Chhandak Jana, Gouri Gosain, Vinay Rana, Foram Rambhia, Ravneet Toor and Ashfaque are all geared up to showcase their talents in the 'budding designer' category.
