Metallica drops new album after eight years

Washington D.C, Aug. 19 : The heavy metal band Metallica has announced the release of its first album 'Hardwired ... To Self-Destruct' after a gap of eight years. According to their official website 'Metallica', the album will have 80 minutes of their classic thrash metal music and is scheduled to release on November 18.

Along with announcing the album, Metallica also dropped the album's first track, 'Hardwired,' through a FM station in Minneapolis.

Speaking about their 11th studio album, they say it represents the "the next phase of our journey." The 'Unforgiven' band also announced that the album 'Hardwired ..To Self-Destruct' will be available in forms of a double CD, vinyl and through digital download. It released its last album 'Death Magnetic' in 2008..
