Murray clinches China Open, his fifth title of 2016

Beijing [China], Oct. 9 : World number two Andy Murray defeated Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets to clinch the men's title of the China Open here on Sunday.

The Briton, who has already assured his place at the season-ending Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, defeated Dimitrov 6-4 7-6 (7-2).

This was Murray's fifth title of his year and the 40th of his career. Dimitrov had his moments in match especially after his comeback in the second set but his opponent, the world number two, was more consistent, more accurate and more used to seeing out the pointy end of tournaments.

Prior to China Open, Murray had won Italian Open, Queen's Club Championships, Wimbledon Championships and the Summer Olympic Games in this year.
