"Out of 45 minutess speech, 30 minutess seemed 'pravachan' of a 'pracharak' but not a single remedial measure was announced for people who suffered (due to demonetisation)," CPI (M) leader Sitaram Yechury told ANI.

Yechury said that there is no word saying that he will increase rural employment there is not one word on the amount of loss that has happened to the farmers during this season or on how will they be compensated; 11 5 people lost their lives waiting in the queues, no talk of compensation for them.

He added that in his speech the Prime Minister have presented the budget for the next year outside the Parliament and has thus rendered the Finance Minister jobless.
