‘Sherlock’s real life couple Martin Freeman, Amanda Abbington split

Washington D.C. [USA], Dec. 23 : 'Sherlock' co-stars Martin Freeman and Amanda Abbington, who also play a couple Mr. (and) Mrs. Watson, are no longer together. In an interview with The Financial Times, Freeman told, "I'm not with Amanda anymore. It's very, very amicable-I'll always love Amanda." The 45-year-old actor first met Abbington on the set of 2000 movie 'Men Only' after which they went on to appear together in 'The Debt' in 2003, 'The All Together' and 'Swinging with the Finkels'.

It is unsure regarding the time when the two split. The actors have been together since 2001 and share two children 10-year-old Joe Freeman and eight-year-old Grace Freeman.

Neither Abbington nor Freeman has commented on the breakup directly. Meanwhile, the 42-year-old's character Mary Watson will be back for the upcoming fourth season of 'Sherlock', which will premiere on BBC One and PBS on New Year's Day.
