Taliban militants ambush convoy of Afghan Vice Prez

Kabul [Afghanistan], Oct. 17 : The Taliban militants ambushed the convoy of Afghanistan's First Vice President General Abdul Rashid Dostum in the northern Faryab province as he is leading a counter-terrorism operation against the group in the region.

The incident took place yesterday when General Dostum was on his way towards Ghormach district accompanied by a convoy of the security forces, reports Khaama Press.

General Dostum confirmed the attack and said the militants were in police uniform and ambushed the convoy of the security forces.
