Tamil actor Siddharth calls Ranveer Singh’s J (and) K ad ‘new low for women’s rights’

New Delhi [India], Nov. 24 : Tamil star Sidharth, who is popularly known for voicing his opinions regarding women's rights in the film industry, recently refueled the topic by slamming Ranveer Singh's ad campaign for Jack (and) Jones.

The 37-year-old actor from the South tweeted, "A new low for women's rights in the workplace in India.

What were they thinking?" accompanied by a shot of the hoarding ad, where the 31-year-old star is featured carrying a woman on his shoulder.

The large ad poster shows Ranveer leaving presumably an office building, which has "Don't hold back. Take your work home." written on the wall in block letters. This is not the first time the 'Oh My Friend' actor has openly slammed a topic which he does not find good taste in.

In the past, he grabbed headlines when he stood against the glorification of stalking women in the films.

According to Pinkvilla, Siddharth had tweeted then, "We've been selling a terrible dream in our films for long.

That any man can get the woman he wants just by wanting her enough. Must change." "When a woman stalks a man in our films she's a vamp. When a man does it he is a hero. It's a complicated discussion. But it needs to be had," he wrote. Ranveer, however, has not responded to the criticism..
