Twitter war in Uttar Pradesh between BJP, SP, Congress

Lucknow, Dec 2 : The BJP, SP and the Congress are embroiled in an ongoing Twitter war in Uttar Pradesh.

The virtual war began with Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Maurya asking Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to change her name to 'Twitter Vadra'.

He also asked Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav to change his name to 'Twitter Yadav'.

This was apparently a jibe at the online activism of these two leaders.

Samajvadi Party (SP) MLC Udaiveer Singh promptly responded and asked Maurya to rename himself as 'Tan Tan Maurya' since Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hits out at him like a 'ghanta' (bell).

"You have not been able to fill the potholes on the roads in your regime," he added.

Congress spokesperson and Uttar Pradesh media in charge Rajiv Tyagi addressed the Deputy Chief Minister as 'Cheater Maurya'.

"Dear Cheater Maurya Ji, the amount of time you dedicate to criticising Priyanka Ji, if the same amount of time you had given to your department, the people of UP would have benefitted from it.

The time when Priyanka Ji got down on the roads of Sonebhadra, the entire BJP government was shocked," he wrote.

Maurya has not yet responded to the reactions to his tweet.
