Azamgarh (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Feb 2 : The mortal remains of soldier Ajit Singh, who died after being swept away by an avalanche in Jammu and Kashmir's Gurez sector, was brought to his house here.
Naik Singh, who hailed from Zameerpur village, is survived by his parents, a brother, wife and two children.
At least fourteen soldiers lost their lives in a devastating avalanche that hit the Gurez sector in Jammu and Kashmir on January 26.
The Indian Army had earlier said that bad weather was preventing the pilot from bringing back the remains of the soldiers killed in the avalanche.
