Johannesburg [South Africa], Apr 29 : Four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel fended off his team-mate Kimi Raikkonen as Ferrari made a one-two finish in the third and final practice session of this weekend's Russian Grand Prix here on Saturday.
Vettel, who clocked his fastest lap of one minute and 34.001 seconds, was 0.337 seconds quicker than Finnish driver Raikkonen.
Mercedes emerged as Ferrari's closest rivals, with Valtteri Bottas and three-time world champion Lewis Hamilton making third and fourth finish, respectively.
Meanwhile, Red Bull's Max Verstappen finished fifth fastest ahead of Felipe Massa of Williams, Sport24 reported.
Verstappen's team-mate Daniel Ricciardo suffered a breakdown close to the end of the session and was down in eighth spot behind Renault's Nico Hulkenberg.
Ferrari has topped all three practice sessions on a Sochi track, which was widely expected to favour Mercedes.
