We will accept Akhilesh Yadav’s decision: SP leaders on alliance with BSP

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Mar. 9 : Hours after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav hinted at an alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Samajwadi Party leaders said the decision of their national president will be accepted in every manner.

"The results will be in front of us on March 11 and I believe that the Samajwadi Party will form the government with majority.

As far as alliance with the BSP is concerned, whatever our party leader Akhilesh Yadav decides, we will accept it," Samajwadi Party spokesperson Juhi Singh told ANI.

Meanwhile, another Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Aggarwal said that the Congress and the Samajwadi Party have same ideologies; therefore, they will definitely form the government in Uttar Pradesh.

"The Congress and we are of the same ideology and, therefore, we will form the government with majority.

Akhilesh ji won't let the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) run Uttar Pradesh through a remote control and will use full force to stop them.

We are even ready to make sacrifices if needed," he added. Earlier, in what can be termed as a grand revelation, Akhilesh Yadav hinted at sewing an alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), if need be, in order to form the state government, and most importantly, in a bid to keep the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) out of fray.

"We are sure that the SP-Congress will win maximum seats in the assembly. But, we don't know about the circumstances after results. So, let's see, if it's required to form a government... Nobody would want President's rule in the state and that the BJP runs it through a remote control. Nobody would want that," Akhilesh told a TV Channel when asked about the possibility of the alliance. This comes close on the heels of March 11, when the results of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections come out.
