Bhubaneswar, Jan 11 : The 22nd Refining and Petrochemicals Technology Meet will be organised by the Centre for High Technology in association with Indian Oil Corporation at Bhubaneswar from January 13 to 15.
Around 900 oil industry professionals from India and abroad are expected to participate in the 3-day meet, out of which about 100 numbers are foreign delegates from 44 global companies, said U.

The theme of the meet is 'Emerging trends in downstream hydrocarbon sector'.
The meet shall facilitate invaluable exchange of global benchmark practices on technological advancements in the hydrocarbon sector, petrochemicals, electric vehicles and impact on refining business, energy conservation, obtaining bio-oil from biomass, bio-refinery from bamboo feedstock.
Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will inaugurate the event.
Prestigious energy performance awards will also be given away during the meet.
In the meet, leaders of the oil companies and domain experts will be sharing their thoughts on various important aspects of hydrocarbon sector, said Deka.
Leading global consultants/technology providers/catalyst manufacturers like Shell, Honeywell UOP, Chevron, ExxonMobil, Haldor Topsoe, Axens, DuPont, KBR, GTC, ICIS, Invista, Bechtel, Fluor Daniel, Linde, Dow, JNC Japan, Petronas, GC Russia, KNT Russia, TCC China, Albemarle will be participating in the meet.
For the first time ever, delegates from countries like Russia, Japan, China, Malaysia, UAE, are going to be part of the event among the delegates of around 50 countries, who have confirmed their participation, said Deka.
On the sidelines of the event, Dharmendra Pradhan will be holding a meeting with the CEOs of various companies participating in the meet for initiation of Skill Development Centres at different technical institutes at Bhubaneswar.
A Report on "Enhancing Refinery Capacity by 2040" will also be released during the meet.
