64th National Film Awards: Sonam feels ‘shocked and grateful’ for ‘Neerja’s win

New Delhi [India] Apr. 7 : Sonam Kapoor, who presently is busy shooting for R. Balki's 'Padman,' along with Akshay Kumar, feels 'shocked and grateful' as 'Neerja' won the National Award today in 'Best Hindi Feature Film' category, with a special mention to the actress.

She, along with Khiladi Kumar, who too bagged the National Award for 'Best Actor,' shared a snap on Instagram, expressing their feelings and excitement.

"Who would've thought!! Shocked and grateful!! All the way from maheshvar!!! #nationalawards #neerja #rustom @akshaykumar," she captioned the snap.

Producer Atul Kasbekar too shared his feelings and wrote, "Our debut production #Neerja has just won d #NationalAward for best picture.

My grateful thx to all that made it happen. U know who u are." Karan Johar too took to Twitter to shower his wishes upon Sonam and the 'Neerja' team.

"Congratulations to the wonderful team of #Neerja for the honour bestowed on you!! Congratulations to @sonamakapoor!!! Big love to you!!!," he wrote.

"Congratulations @sonamakapoor for Neerja you have always been my favorite!!!" wished Uday Chopra. Anupam Kher too wrote, "Congratulations @sonamakapoor for your National Award. Also to the entire team of #Neerja for winning the #BestHindiFilm. Well done.:)".
