Washington D.C [USA], Sept. 11 : Celine Dion's performance of her new single, 'Recovering' at the recently held Stand Up to Cancer telethon in Los Angeles made quite an emotional wave as she sang to the "unexpected gift" lyrics.

Penned by Pink, who is an American Music Awards winner, Dion's new single 'Recovering' is a tender tune about moving on from the pain of loss and grief, reports People magazine.

The 48-year-old popstar, who dedicated her performance to her late husband Rene Angelil, brother Daniel Dion and Adhemar Dion, set off the emotional performance from the Music Center's Walt Disney Concert Hall.

"A few months ago during my most difficult time of grieving, I received an unexpected gift from an amazing artist that I have always admired - Pink.

She offered me a song that expresses power to stand up and stay strong. The most wonderful song is called 'Recovering,'" the singer said. The Canadian singer's dear departed ones had all reportedly died of cancer. The event saw loads of celebrities coming together and performing in solidarity with cancer survivors.
