Kolkata Test: Saha strikes fifty as India set 376-run target for Kiwis

Kolkata [India], Oct. 3 : Wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha struck an unbeaten half-century as India set a massive 376-run target for New Zealand on day four of the second Test being played at Eden Gardens here.

Resuming at the overnight score of 227-8, India added just 36 runs to extend their second innings total to 263, with Saha (unbeaten) completing his second consecutive half-century.

At the time of filing this report, New Zealand had resumed their second innings, with openers Tom Latham and Martin Guptill batting at their respective scores of 16 and seven respectively.

Earlier, Rohit Sharma smashed nine boundaries and two sixes in his 82-run while skipper Virat Kohli also contributed a significant 45 in his side's second innings.

For New Zealand, Trent Boult, Matt Henry and Mitchell Santner scalped three wickets apiece while Neil Wagner also chipped in with a wicket.

India are currently leading the three-match Test series 1-0 following their massive 197-run win over the Kane Williamson-led side in the opening match at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur.
