Nepali PM Dahal hold parleys with President on political developments

Kathmandu, Aug. 13 : Nepali Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal called on President Bidya Devi Bhandari and briefed her about recent political developments this morning.

According to the Dahal's Secretariat, the Prime Minister went to President's Office, Sheetal Niwas, to inform the Head of the State about contemporary political issues, reports the Himalayan Times.

During the meeting, President Bhandari asked the Prime Minister about the Cabinet expansion and Dahal informed that the Cabinet would be expanded within a day or two.

Meanwhile, the main opposition and former prime minister K.P. Sharma Oli's Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist-Leninist (CPN-UML) will hold its Standing Committee meeting at the party central office in Dhumbarahi of Kathmandu.

This will the first meeting of the party's top panel after the party Oli resigned from the premiership and the party adopted the role of main opposition in the Parliament.
