All-female `Ocean`s Eight` to release June 2018

London [UK], Oct. 8 : 'Ocean's Eight' which is the new sequel to the star studded American heist film 'Ocean's Eleven' will start production for its 2018 release.

The all-female reboot of the movie franchise, which will star Anne Hathaway, Sandra Bullock, Helena Bonham Carter, Cate Blanchett, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling and rapper Awkwafin, is slated for June 8, 2018, reports the Daily Mail.

Shooting will reportedly start in New York this month. Although the plot has been kept under wraps, it has been reported that the film will see the girl gang undergo a heist at the Met Gala.

The first 'Ocean's Eleven' movie, made in 1960, saw Frank Sinatra in the title role of Danny Ocean, with his co-stars including Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop.

In the 2001 remake of the movie, George Clooney was seen reprising the part alongside co-stars, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Andy Garcia, and Julia Roberts.

'Ocean's Eight' will be directed by Gary Ross, who has promised that the new movie will be an "extension and a continuation" of the previous movies.
