Amazon leads Jindal Business School placement offers

Sonipat (Haryana), May 31 : Online retail giant Amazon led the recruitment of Jindal Global Business School (JGBS) students this year with offers of up to Rs 1.6 million per annum, O.P.

Jindal Global University said here on Thursday.

The other leading recruiters included ITC, Ernst and Young, HDFC Bank, Home First Finance Company (HFFC), Genpact, Dyson, Brands of Desire, Pinnacle Connect and SalesEdge, the university said.



"We are constantly working to create new opportunities to meet students' imaginations and cater to their career aspirations," C.

Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, O.P. Jindal Global University, said in a statement.

The summer internship programme at Jindal Global Business School also attracted several new companies like Bisleri International, Future Group, Honda Cars, IDBI, India Bulls, HDFC Bank and Decathlon, among others.



"Our partnership with IBM has helped in opening immense opportunities in the area of business analytics," said Tapan Panda, Dean, JGBS.

Software major IBM set up its Business Analytics Lab at Jindal University last year to provide necessary support and a critical analysis platform to execute the Jindal Global Business School MBA Business Analytics programme smoothly.



"What is interesting this year is the wide variety of domains that the students have been offered, they have got opportunity to work in the emerging of business process engineering, business analytics and social media analytics profile," Panda added.
