Arunachal Pradesh: Two Assam Rifles soldiers killed in encounter with terrorists

Jairampur, (Arunachal Pradesh), [India], Jan. 22 : Two soldiers from the Assam Rifles lost their lives today in an encounter with terrorists belonging to the National Socialist Council of Nagaland - Khaplang NSCN (K) near Jairampur in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh.

There was a heavy exchange of gunfire between the two groups and multiple grenades were also blasted by (NSCN-K).

A Toyota Fortuner bearing no. AS06L 0033 was damaged in the blast. None of the passengers were injured. Further details of encounter casualties are awaited..
