New Delhi [India], Dec. 25 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday wished former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his 92nd birthday and said that his contribution is unforgettable.
"This country will never forget the contribution of Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji," said Prime Minister Modi in the 27th edition of his 'Mann ki Baat' programme.
He also wished veteran leader Pt. Madan Mohan Malaviya on his 155th birth anniversary and said the recently inaugurated cancer hospital in Varanasi is a tribute to him.
"He brought resolution and confidence in the people. He gave modern teaching a whole new direction," he said. Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi took to his Twitter handle to wish Vajpayee. "Atal ji's exemplary service (and) leadership has had a very positive impact on India's growth trajectory.
His great personality is endearing," he tweeted. Prime Minister Modi also tweeted out an old video of him meeting Vajpayee when he was a 'karyakarta' of the BJP.
"See what Atal ji does when he meets a party Karyakarta. This simplicity and warmth of Atal ji we all cherish," he wrote..
