Patna, Nov 28 : Bihar's famous 'Govind Bhog' rice, which is cultivated in Kaimur area will soon be used in the offerings to Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, prominent priest here said.
The rice will also be used for 'prasad' for the devotees as well.
Hanuman Mandir temple trust chief Kishore Kunal told IANS, "Ram Rasoi is going to start in Ayodhya very soon.
For this, sixty quintal of 'Govind Bhog' rice has been sent from here. All of this has been procured from Kaimur area of Bihar."
Kunal said Sita Rsoi is already functioning in Sitamarhi in Bihar.
"Five hundred people in the day and two hundred people in the night are fed from the Sita Rasoi. Ram Rasoi in Ayodhya will feed at least 1,000 people per day. Further arrangements will be made on the basis of the feedback and the turnout of the people."
He said chefs from famous Tirupati temple has been called in for the service.
Govind Bhog rice is known for its fine quality and rich fragrance, and is cultivated on a large scale in Kaimur area of Bihar.
Kishore Kunal has already announced a donation of Rs 10 crore for the construction of Ram temple in at the Ram Janmabhoomi site in Ayodhya after the verdict came from the Supreme Court on November 9.
