BJP questions hurry to induct George into Karnataka cabinet

Bengaluru (Karnataka), [India], Sept 26 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday questioned the hurry to reinduct former Karnataka Minister K J George into the Karnataka Cabinet, saying that the court is yet to give a judgment in a case involving the suicide of police officer Ganapathy.

Terming the whole development as shady and tricky BJP leader Madhusudan said that the CID's verdict was obvious as the accused persons in this case were way too influential.

"The whole development is a shady development and a tricky development. The very moment Congress government in Karnataka decided to handover the case to CID the report was already drawn.

Influential people were accused in this case. The CID would not have given any other report other than what has been given today. The CID has just filed the report the court is yet to give a judgment. Why so much hurry to reindict George?," said Madhusudan. George rejoined Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's cabinet earlier today. George, who was recently given a clean chit by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) in the Deputy SP Ganapathy suicide case, took the oath of office as a Cabinet-rank minister at the Raj Bhavan.

Governor Vajubhai Vala administered the oath of office and secrecy to George..
