Capt. ‘joint candidate’ of SAD, BJP, Cong, Kejriwal cautions people

Ludhiana (Punjab) [India], Oct. 23 : Terming Punjab Congress chief Capt. Amarinder Singh a "joint candidate" of the Akalis, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday cautioned the people of Punjab that every vote they would cast in favour of the Badals, the saffron party and the grand old party would go to "drug addiction", while asking them to "vote for broom" to sweep addiction out of the state.

"Capt. has emerged as a joint candidate of the Akali, BJP and the Congress. It means that money earned from drugs' sell, which destroyed the youth of Punjab, is being used in Capt's campaign.

We want to caution the people of Punjab that every vote they will cast in favour of the Badals, the BJP and the Congress will go to drug addiction, and every vote they will cast for broom will sweep addiction out of Punjab," Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal told journalists after releasing the party's trade manifesto here.

Accusing the Badals of striking a deal with Amarinder Singh, "A few days back the Badals have closed the case against Capt.

Amarinder Singh. I was going through a surgery when I receive the news, and I could not believe it. In the run-up to elections, opponents trade charges against each other, but the Badals closed all cases against Capt., which would be, perhaps, the incident in the history of elections." "There are many youth, who have been booked under false charges, and their family members are running from pillar to post, the Badals did not withdraw cases against them.

It is increasingly clear that there has struck a deal between Sukhbir Badal and Captain," he alleged. Accusing Capt. of saving Bikram Singh Majithia by opposing a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry against him, Kejriwal sought to know as to what deal they had struck between them at that time.

"Three years back, a CBI inquiry was to be taken place against Majithia, but Capt. opposed the inquiry tooth and nail, because there was a Congress government at the Centre, Amarinder Singh used his influence and saved him.

Entire Punjab says that Majithia sells drugs and many youngsters and youth are addicted across Punjab, Capt.

did not let the CBI inquiry take place. The people want to know what deal they had struck between them at that time," he asked. Stating that rumours are rife that the Badals are investing in Capt's election campaign, Kejriwal noted that it means that money earned from drugs, which destroyed the youth of Punjab, is being used in Capt's campaign.
