Delhi police seeks extension of Sukesh’s custody

New Delhi [India], Apr 25 : The Delhi Police on Tuesday sought three day custodial extension of alleged middleman Sukesh Chandrasekar.

Asserting that it is a sensitive issue, Police told a Delhi Court that it needs to keep Sukesh in custody as he needs to be taken to various places outside the national capital.

The police also told the court that Dinakaran has given evasive answers during the questioning, and therefore, more time was needed to seek clarity.

Submitting the call records between TTV Dhinakaran and Sukesh the Delhi Police also informed the court that it had found lot of other people involved in this hawala transaction.

The Delhi Police yesterday said that after days of denial, both public and during questioning by the police, AIADMK (Amma) faction leader T.T.V.

Dhinakaran had admitted that he knew alleged middleman Sukesh Chandrasekar. The two have been booked for attempting to bribe Election Commission officials to get a favourable verdict on the coveted 'Two Leaves' symbol on which Mr.

Dhinakaran wanted to contest the now cancelled R.K. Nagar bypolls in Chennai..
