Farhan Akhtar’s brother wins it at 68th Creative Arts Emmys

New Delhi [India], Sept. 11 : While Farhan Akhtar is garnered all the appreciations here, his cousin Kabir Akhtar is making it big in the West.

Kabir has recently won the statuette for 'Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing For A Comedy Series' at the 68th Creative Arts Emmys for 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.' Applauding this big win, Farhan and Shabana Azmi took to their respective Twitter handles to share their words of appreciation.

"@kabirakhtar well done brother.. Congratulations.. May there be many more.. #Emmys #Editing," wrote the 'Rock On 2' actor. "Our nephew @kabirakhtar with the Emmy he just won for editing. Proud family jumping with joy," tweeted Shabana Azmi. Speaking about the honour, Kabir too tweeted, "omg i won an #Emmy for cutting #CrazyExGirlfriend !!!!!!" According to Deadline, 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' was considered one of this year's most notable Primetime Emmys snubs, receiving no major nominations despite widespread acclaim and red hot social media traction.

Kabir has earlier been nominated twice at Creative Arts Emmys for TV series 'Arrested Development' and the opening short film for the '84th Annual Academy Awards.'.
