Guardiola adamant on Man City’s title chances despite winless run

London [U.K], Oct.27 : While Manchester City's winless streak continued with a loss to rivals, Manchester United manager Pep Guardiola is certain that his side can recover and comeback to their winning ways.

City slumped to their sixth successive defeat, Guardiola's worst ever-run, at the hands of United 0-1 to crash out of the League Cup at Old Trafford.

Despite admitting that six losses in a row is a matter of concern, the Spaniard manager remains upbeat over City's chances of trophies this season, with the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup still up for grabs.?? "Yeah, it's six games - not a good situation - but we are out of one competition, we have three still. We are going to see.

I happy with the players and we are going to try in the future," Guardiola was quoted as saying by goal.com.

??? The 45-year-old manager, however, praised teenagers Aleix Garcia and Pablo Maffeo in particular for their fighting performances during the Old Trafford clash.

"Aleix was outstanding - Pablo Maffeo as well, fighting with [Marcus] Rashford and [Paul] Pogba. We made a good performance, so there's no regrets. We were still fighting until the last minute," he added. City are currently placed second in Group C of Champions League while they are standing at the top of the table in Premier League.
