India are under pressure, not Australia, says Nathan Lyon

Ranchi [India], Mar. 13 : Off-spinner Nathan Lyon has insisted that it is Virat Kohli and his men, and not Australia, who are under pressure before going into the third Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy despite their emphatic win in Bengaluru.

After suffering a humiliating 333-run defeat in the first Test at Pune, India bounced back in a big way and registered a resounding 75-run victory to level the four-match series.

But Lyon has insisted that opposite to many predictions of Australia losing the series 0-4, the visitors have come with a remarkable pressure and are putting India under pressure.

"I think they're feeling the pressure a little bit to be honest (based on India's conduct in Bangalore), and it's good," Lyon was quoted as saying by cricket.com.au.

"We need to just keep worrying about what we're doing. India can carry on or do whatever they want to do." "The pressure is right on India. There's no pressure on us. Everyone said we were going to lose 4-0, 'they're no good'," he added. With the series leveled 1-1, Australia will try to retain the trophy with another win in the third Test to be played in Ranchi beginning March 16.
