As per reports, a 48-year-old man was arrested after the fatal attack on Alisher. The alleged attacker was among the people waiting at the bus stop. The members of Australia's Indian community paid tribute to Alisher, who was well known among the local Punjabis as a singer and promoter of showbiz events.

The attack came just four weeks after the local authorities in Queensland announced a review aimed at stopping the increasing attacks on the bus drivers.
