Information and Broadcasting Ministry to conduct week-long patriotic film festival

New Delhi, Aug. 12 : Information and Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu will inaugurate the 'Independence Day Film Festival' at Siri Fort Auditorium here on Friday.

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore will also be present on the occasion. The opening film for the festival is 'Gandhi' directed by Sir Richard Attenborough. The festival will commence from today and conclude on August 18 during which 20 films will be screened.

The festival is being organized by Directorate of Film Festivals in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence.
