Keen to work for regional peace: Pak FM tells U.S. Security Advisor

Islamabad [Pakistan], April 15 : Pakistan's Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has told U.S. National Security Advisor Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster that Islamabad is keen to work with friends and partners to ensure peace and stability in the region.

Both officials reportedly exchanged views on matters of bilateral interest over phone, Samaa TV said in its broadcast.

Dar said he looked forward to working with Lt. Gen. McMaster in enhancing the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and the United States. A mention was also made about the encouraging results of the ongoing Radd-ul-Fasaad anti-terror operation.

Lt.Gen. McMaster said Washington looks forward to working with Pakistan to pursue common objectives of peace, security and economic well-being of the people.

He also lauded Islamabad for its programme of economic reforms..
