K’taka Budget: Siddaramaiah announces ‘Namma’ canteen for Bengaluru

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], Mar. 15 : Karnataka Chief Minister K. Siddaramaiah on Wednesday announced "Namma Canteen" for Bengaluru, in his state budget presentation. The budget has announced that the subsidised canteens will provide breakfast, lunch and dinner to the common man at an affordable price.

"We will implement Namma Canteens in all 198 wards in Bengaluru city. We will give breakfast for 5 rupees and lunch and dinner for 10 rupees," Siddaramaiah told the media here.

The budget included many populists' sops bringing cheer to the common man of the state. The Congress Government in Karnataka presented its last full-budget before the state goes to the polls in May 2018.
