Modi Govt. taking enough steps to address border management: Ram Madhav

New Delhi [India], Sept. 7 : Asserting that India needs to find better ways to manage the people living close to the borders, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary Ram Madhav on Wednesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government is taking enough steps to address issues concerning the border management.

"We have to find better ways to manage our people living close to the borders, coordination is required.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government is taking enough steps to address issues concerning the border management.

Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India, so what political solution can be there," asked Madhav, while addressing a conference on 'Homeland Security 2016' here.

Madhav said in order for India to affectively find solutions to all these (border) problems, it has to develop a long-term security doctrine.

"A large number of technologies are required to manage the borders. Technologies play a very important role today. It's a major challenge. The coordination aspect is also big. We need to open borders when it comes to commerce and trade. But when it comes to security, it needs to be sealed. We are amending laws. We are infusing more funds into infrastructure development," he added..
