Mourinho believes Ibrahimovic’s influence ‘crucial’ for Man Utd

Johannesburg, Aug 15 : Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho believes Zlatan Ibrahimovic's influence on his team-mates on and off the field will be very crucial.

The 34-year-old marked his Premier League debut for United in an impeccable fashion by hammering a 25-yard strike past Bournemouth goalkeeper Artur Boruc to hand his new team with a 3-1 win at Dean Court on Sunday.

The United manager, who brought Ibrahimovic to United on a free transfer after he left Paris Saint Germain (PSG), has been encouraged by the way the Swedish striker has emerged as a talismanic figure in the dressing room.

Many of Mourihno's young players have been spending time with Ibrahimovic to pick his brains. The Portuguese manager said that Ibrahimovic is always surrounded by his young team-mates like Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw at his table for breakfast and meals, Sport24 reported.

Lavishing praise on Ibrahimovic, Mourinho said the former Barcelona and Inter Milan forward knows how his performance affect his teammates, adding that one should forget about his age as he is at the top of his game.
