Pakistan violates ceasefire in Sundarbani, Krishna Ghati sectors in J-K

Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Oct. 5 : Pakistan violated ceasefire and resorted to unprovoked in Sundarbani Sector in Rajouri district at 5pm and Krishna Ghati sector in of Poonch using small and automatics arms and mortar shells.

Defence Public Relation Officer (PRO) Manish Mehta said the Indian forces gave a befitting reply to the ceasefire violation by the Pakistan forces.

Mehta said heavy intermittent exchange of fire in all these sectors was still continuing. However, no casualty or injury to anyone has been reported. On Tuesday afternoon, Pakistan violated ceasefire in Gigriyal, Channi and Planwala areas of Akhnoor, Jammu and Kashmir.

While in the morning the morning, ceasefire violations were reported along the LoC in Naushera Sector.

On Monday, Pakistan violated ceasefire in Shahpur along the LoC in Poonch District. Heavy mortar shelling and firing was reported from the Pakistani side in Poonch. In the aftermaths of the Indian Army's surgical strikes Pakistan's terror launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and the subsequent escalated tension, Pakistani forces have been time and again resorting to unprovoked shelling along the LoC and even targeting the civilian population forcing them either shift to relief camps or taking shelter in bunkers.
