Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], Nov. 19 : Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought back the Indian culture and heritage to the world and international community.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought Indian culture and heritage to the world and international community.
He has suggested Yoga which has been adopted by 192 countries. Every country said Yoga is required," he said, while addressing students at the PES University in Bengaluru.
"Some people think saying 'Hindu' will make them communal, our country is called Hindustan. This is Hindustan, that is Pakistan. This is not given by Venkaiah Naidu or Narendra Modi or Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Our fore fathers gave us this name," he added. Naidu asserted that Hindu is the cultural identity of the nation and it is not a narrow religious connotation.
"Religion is a way of worship and culture is a way of life. We should all feel that we belong to this great culture," he said. The Union Minister also lauded the efforts made by the PES University as around 250 students from the took part in the development of the satellite which was launched by Indian Space Research Organization, along with one of its space missions.
