‘Pretty Little Liars’ series ends with its seventh outing

Washington D.C. [USA], Aug. 30 : Clearing prolonged speculations, the makers of 'Pretty Little Lairs' announced that the forthcoming seventh season would be its last.

The team including Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell, Sasha Pieterse and Marlene King made the bitter revelation in a Facebook Live broadcast from the show's set, reports E!Online.

"It's been such an amazing chapter of our lives and we're so glad that you guys could share it with us, but all good things must come to an end and these last 10 episodes are pretty crazy," Hale said.

While King had earlier hinted at the possibility that the show could go through substantial changes after season seven, the group finally confirmed that the last ten episodes will mark the culmination of the series.

The second half of season seven will premiere in April 2017 and the series finale will be a supersized two-hour event.

In addition to it, King's latest show, 'Famous In Love' will debut after PLL's final season premiere. "It's been an honor to work with such a talented cast and crew over the last seven years. We are a family, and it will be hard to say goodbye to a show that has made such an impact on young audiences and been a mouthpiece for cultural change.

I'm excited for fans to finally have all of their questions answered, and I believe they will be satisfied with the wild ride that is our last ten episodes.

I am also thrilled to embark on my next endeavor Famous In Love with Bella Thorne and for PLL fans to get wrapped up in Paige's rise to stardom and the pitfalls of Hollywood," King said after the news was announced.
